PeaZip free archiver utility offers full read / write support (compress, open, decompress) for ZST compressed files, through the Open Source tool ZSTD from Facebook's Zstandard project (released under BSD + GPLv2 dual license) to offer the same GUI frontend to create, browse, and extract .zst files under Windows and Linux operating systems.
ZSTD compressor is multithreaded and provides faster than Deflate (ZIP / GZip) compression, even faster than current Brotli implementation, see PeaZip comparative benchmarks page for fastest data compression results.
Zstandard algorithm is a pure single file (or stream) compressor, and does not provide file archiving features: if multiple files are sent to ZSTD compressor PeaZip will automatically switch to solid mode consolidating all input files / directories to a single TAR archive.
Treating the entore input as a whole usually also allows reach better compression ratio that compressing each input file separately.
ZSTD utility does not support encryption (files of .zst type cannot be password protected) as no encryption primitive is offered by Zstandard algorithm.
Compress files with Zstandard algorithm
ZSTD fast data compressor accepts a single file as input, otherwise (to add multiple files and directories) use 'TAR before' option to consolidate input in a single TAR package before proceeding with compression stage with Zstandard algorithm.

How to convert Zstandard files
Archive file conversion procedure using Convert button extracts and then re-pack input archive files into any write-supported format (7z, arc, brotli, pea, tar, zip, zstandard..) This utility allows to convert any type supported for reading (ACE, CAB, RAR, TAR, ZIP..) into a new ZST file, as well as to convert existing ZST file into any other write-supported format. |

| Open Zstandard ZST files
To open ZST file and read its content (a single compresed file in case of plain .zst format, a tar archive opening a tar.zst or .tzst file), open it in PeaZip with double click if file extension is associated with the application, or using system context menu 'Open as archive' entry, that will attempt to read any user provided file type regardless file associations
Extract ZST files
Decompress ZST files from the system Use context menu entry 'Extract..' for extraction screen to set output path and other options Select one or more archives and use context menu entry Extract here or Extract here (to new folder) for quick extraction with no further confirmation
Decompress Zstandard-compressed files within PeaZip free archiver
Extract button shows archive extraction screen providing access to all extraction options (set output path, open output path after extraction, keep or delete original archives, etc)
Extract all to.. button activates a simplified procedure only asking for output path Convert avi to flv linux. - Simply drag & drop the compressed file from the application to the system to decompress it
To work on a TAR file compressed with Zsrandard (with .tar.zst or .tzst extension) you will need to uncompress the tar container before using aforementioned methods.
